Graduation Day

Graduation day are most etched out days in our memory. Why does this day have so much importance? Probably it’s because it’s a day when we feel a sense of achievement .It’s a day of mixed feelings because we are happy to finally accomplish our long awaited degree but at the same moment it’s a day when we have to leave our friends and step in the real world. Suddenly on this day you are expected to be mature and all grown up. The day is then followed by the graduation ceremony in which every student is awarded with his degree. The tradition for graduation ceremony goes back centuries.

Since ages this ceremony has been followed in pretty same manner. The ceremony starts with the usual speech which is then followed by the awarding ceremony in which all of the students are called one by one on the stage to receive their much awaited degrees. After which its party time since the trials and tribulations of academic is finally over. The ceremony last a good 4-5 hours event. This day is special not just for the students; it is equally important day for their near and dear ones since it’s a moment of accomplishment for them as well. Graduation day has for long been a good social platform for students and teachers. They share their feelings and finally bid adieu for the future.  With the passage of time this day has become more elaborate and commercialized. Days, in fact months of planning goes to make this day a special one.

These days it is common for the robes to be of the color reflecting school’s colors instead being plain black.
